CARE Network

The CARE study, part of the CARE Network (Computer-assisted Risk Evaluation), is an innovative clinical research project aimed at early detection and prevention of psychosis. The study focuses on individuals at high risk of developing psychosis, particularly targeting people between the ages of 16 and 40. Using AI-based algorithms, the study enhances risk assessments and provides individualized, modular treatment plans based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its primary goal is to prevent psychosis or mitigate its progression by offering personalized early interventions. The project involves a nationwide network of child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric centers across Germany and includes a detailed evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of these interventions.

This study is supported by the German Innovation Fund and aims to contribute to preventive psychiatry, establishing high diagnostic and therapeutic standards for psychosis risk evaluation. The project also includes a health economic evaluation to assess the cost-benefit of this new care model. https://care-network.eu/
