Sophie Fengler
I graduated in Psychology with a specialisation in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Groningen (NL) before doing my PhD in Neuropsychology at the Department of Medical Psychology at the University of Cologne (in cooperation with the University of Vechta) on the subject of cognitive disorders in Parkinson's disease. At the same time, I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and worked mainly with patients with first-episode psychosis in inpatient and outpatient settings. Since February 2024 I have been working as a clinical researcher at the Early Recognition and Intervention Center for Mental Health Disorders (FETZ) at the University Hospital of Cologne. I am part of the Prescient study (Trajectories and Predictors in the Clinical High Risk for Psychosis Population: Prediction Scientific Global Consortium), which is looking at a range of potential risk factors for young people at ultra-high risk (UHR) for psychosis, with the aim of developing tools to better predict outcomes and develop the best possible treatment.
