New paper in Translational Psychiatry: functional brain gradients

In our new study in Translational Psychiatry, we investigated how the hierarchical organisation of brain function is altered in people at clinical high risk for psychosis, with recent-onset psychosis and with recent-onset depression.
Using resting-state fMRI and functional brain gradients, we identified both transdiagnostic alterations across disorders and more psychosis-specific changes. The findings point towards a disturbed integration of sensory information, attention and higher-order brain processes, already in the early stages of illness.
Great work by Hannah Hacker, Linnea Hoheisel and the interdisciplinary PRONIA team.
